There are few treats more satisfying than a frozen popsicle on a sunny day. But why eat the boring same-old pops from the grocery store? They tend to be filled with sugar, corn syrup, and chemicals.
Making your own ice pops is quick and easy and it opens the doors to a world of great flavors. When making pops yourself, you can be sure to only include healthy ingredients or adjust recipes to include your kids’ favorite foods or to eliminate an ingredient your kids just won’t eat.
Although they are a dessert item, by creating pops make from fresh fruits, fruit juices, yogurts and natural sweeteners like honey, you can indulge in delicious treats that are still very healthy!
Ice Pops can be decadent and heavy, but many of the recipes included here are light and healthy. Starting with juices or teas, many of these delicious pops are low calorie and low fat or even no fat! (Don’t worry, we’ve included plenty of naughty Pops as well.)
This book is full of recipes and ideas for delicious, gourmet ice pops, divided into 3 sections — kids favorites, gourmet flavors, and adults only (recipes with alcoholic ingredients). Skim through the Table of Contents and you’re sure to find your new favorite!
Gourmet Ice Pops includes more than 50 delicious recipes with tips and notes to help you create your own variations! Includes color photos and illustrations to make the book more entertaining plus a hyperlinked table of contents for ease of use.

Quesadillas are one of the quickest, easiest, and tastiest dishes around. The definition has expanded dramatically from the traditional plain cheese or chicken and cheese options. Traditionally a Mexican or Tex-Mex treat, quesadillas are too tasty to contain in one food type.
This book highlights some of the best flavors and recipes in today’s greatest quesadillas. From delicious Greek, Italian, or even American breakfast flavors, it is easy to find a quesadilla choice to please the pickiest family member. For finicky children, try the Peanut Butter Quesadillas with dipping sauce or the Pizza Quesadillas.
With low-carbohydrate foods and diets so popular, quesadillas fit right in. Low-carb tortillas are available at any grocery with as few as 7 net carbs. The primary ingredients in almost all quesadilla recipes are a meat and cheese plus tortillas, so quesadillas make a great appetizer, lunch, dinner, or snack alternative for a low carb diet.
Quesadillas fit easily into today’s fast-food lifestyles. The ingredients are simple, cooking is quick and easy, and the results are so delicious!

Carver’s Tomatoes includes all of George Washington Carver’s 115 Tomato Recipes updated for today’s cooks. These were originally published in 1918 when Carver ran the Agriculture Department at the Tuskegee Institute under Booker T. Washington. His original pamphlet was a large part of his efforts to increase the popularity of tomatoes.
A brief biography of Carver is included to highlight his historical significance. He was born a slave but managed to get an education and went on to be both an educator and a celebrity in adulthood. In his time, he was a renowned Botanist.
His recipes remain relevant through their use of common pantry and garden ingredients. Known for his personal frugality, most of these recipes are quite inexpensive to prepare and most are quite flexible, allowing the cook to create dishes to serve any number of people. The recipes are wide-ranging, from basic ketchups to soups and salads to dinner entrees.
These recipes should prove particularly helpful to cooks with a garden, since there are a good number of recipes featuring green tomatoes, uses for small ripe tomatoes, as well as sauces such as his Tomato Soy, several ketchups, and large batches of tomato sauces meant to be preserved.
Many of Carver’s recipes use only basic seasoning such as salt and pepper, so they have been updated to include suggestions for more diverse spice blends. His cooking methods and utensils, likewise, were basic so some cooking instructions have been updated for the use of modern appliances.
The Table of Contents lists each recipe by Carver’s number and title and is linked to the full recipe in the book. A table of measurements and equivalents follows the recipes. Only $2.99.

The sweets include wonderful old-time baked goods like Buttermilk Pie, an amazing Apple Crisp, and spicy Molasses Sugar Cookies. A few newer recipes that are sure to become classics, such as Peppermint Bark, Pumpkin Gingerbread, and Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies are here as well.
For those who would rather not bake, try the No Bake Mints or Jan’s Pistachio Dessert.
The second section of recipes is full of great side dishes and a few main courses. Comfort foods like Best Ever Macaroni and Cheese or Smashed Sweet Potatoes are a sure hit at your next pot luck. Or surprise the crew with a new salad like Apple Cranberry Slaw or Kim’s Asian Salad.
